Description
Pomret or Pampano is an indo- West Pacific fish found from the Persion gulf to Borneo and as far North as Japan. It is also common off the Florida Atlantic coast. Highly rated for its delicate ‘none fishy’ flavour this seafish is generally known as a “Jack” in the USA . It is a staple item of the US BarBQ and several Mexican dishes feature it. It can be deep fried but should be handled carefully to keep its iconic shape.
